1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

It contains barley malt vinegar, molasses, spirit vinegar, sugar, salt, tamarind extract, anchovies (fish), onions and garlic. All these ingredients are fermented to produce Worcestershire Sauce. 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce can replace 1 tsp of Fish Sauce in a dish.

1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce

This is another sauce produced by fermenting boiled soybean, baked grain, saltwater, mold of Aspergillus sojae. The residue is pressed after completion of the fermentation. The liquid which is obtained is known as Soy Sauce. 1 tsp of this sauce can replace 1 tsp of fish sauce.

This is another quick substitute to fish sauce. The lime juice adds tanginess to the dish along with the saltiness of the soy sauce.
